In plain English
- You must be medically fit for your batch and complete the health screening before a therapeutic or prenatal plan is confirmed.
- Your plan is personal. Do not share batch links or class material with anyone else.
- Tell us if your health changes. New diagnosis, surgery, injury or pregnancy — we will adapt your practice.
- Yoga is not medical care and results vary. You practise at your own risk, subject to your statutory consumer rights.
- Cancellations and refunds follow the Refund & Cancellation Policy — a cooling-off window applies to every plan.
- Complain to us first: hello@chandrayog.com. We acknowledge within 48 hours and aim to resolve within 7 working days.
Who we are and what these Terms cover
These Student Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you (“you”, “student”, “participant”) and ChandraYog Online Yoga Studio (“ChandraYog”, “we”, “us”), which operates live online yoga classes at chandrayog.com.
They cover every way you can practise with us:
- General Yoga plans — everyday movement, flexibility and breathwork in scheduled live batches.
- Therapeutic Yoga plans — small-group batches focused on conditions such as knee and back concerns, sciatica, and PCOD/PCOS.
- Pre- and post-natal batches — gentle, adapted practice for pregnancy and the post-partum period.
By enrolling, paying for a plan, or joining a live session, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms together with the Privacy Policy, the Refund & Cancellation Policy and the Health Disclaimer & Liability Waiver. If you do not accept them, please do not enrol.
Eligibility and who may enrol
- Adults (18 and above)
- You may enrol directly. You must be able to read and follow spoken instructions in English (or the language of your batch) and to set up your own device for a live class.
- Minors (13 to 17)
- You may enrol only with the consent of, and supervised enrolment by, a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these Terms and the Health Disclaimer on your behalf. A guardian must be present in the room during the session.
- Under 13
- We do not knowingly enrol children under 13. See the Privacy Policy for how we treat children’s data under the DPDP Act, 2023.
- Medical fitness
- You must be medically fit to take part in the batch you are joining, having completed the screening described in clause 4 below.
Batch capacity is deliberately limited (therapeutic groups are capped at ten participants) and places are allocated on a first-confirmed basis once payment and screening are complete.
Your enrolment, account and batch access
- You agree to give accurate, current information when you enrol — your name, contact details, and the health information needed to place you safely.
- Your plan is personal to you. Batch links, meeting credentials and any class material may not be shared, resold, or used by anyone other than the named student on the enrolment.
- You are responsible for your own device, internet connection, and the privacy of your joining link. Do not publish batch links or meeting IDs anywhere.
- If you believe your login or batch link has been compromised, tell us at hello@chandrayog.com so we can reissue it.
Health screening and medical fitness
Health screening is mandatory before any therapeutic or prenatal/post-natal plan is confirmed. It is strongly recommended for General Yoga too, and required for everyone at the point of enrolment.
- You must complete the Health-Screening Questionnaire honestly and in full, including any follow-up questions your answers trigger.
- Where screening indicates that medical clearance is needed, your place cannot be confirmed until we have received written clearance from a registered medical practitioner. We may also ask for clearance in the studio’s reasonable discretion.
- You must tell us promptly if your health changes during your plan — a new diagnosis, surgery, injury, pregnancy, new medication or a hospital stay — so your trainer can adapt or pause your practice.
- Screening information is processed for safety and batch-allocation purposes only, as set out in the Privacy Policy.
What screening is not
Screening is a readiness check, not a medical examination or a diagnosis. It does not replace advice from your own doctor, and a “clear” outcome is not a medical opinion about your fitness.
Fees, taxes and payment
- Plan prices are published at chandrayog.com and shown in Indian Rupees (INR). Prices may change from time to time, but a change never affects a plan you have already paid for.
- Unless expressly stated, prices are inclusive of applicable taxes. Any tax that becomes chargeable will be shown clearly before you pay.
- Payments are processed by third-party payment gateways. We do not store your full card or banking credentials; those are handled by the payment provider under its own terms.
- Your plan begins on the date your payment is confirmed and your batch placement is finalised, which for therapeutic and prenatal plans is after screening review.
- Where a discount or introductory price applies, it applies only to the plan and period advertised and cannot be combined with other offers unless we say so in writing.
- If a payment fails, is reversed, or is charged back, we may suspend batch access until the matter is resolved. Refund entitlements are governed by the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
Plan inclusions, batches and schedule changes
What your plan includes is stated on the plan card you purchased — for example the number of batches available per day, whether a diet and nutrition plan is included, community access, a consultation, or a studio T-shirt. Inclusions are not transferable between plans.
- Batch timings are published in advance and may be adjusted for trainer availability, public holidays, technical reasons or seasonal change. We will give reasonable notice of any permanent change to your batch.
- Where a permanent change makes the batch genuinely unsuitable for you, you may ask to move to another batch at no cost, or request a pro-rata refund under the refund policy.
- Occasional classes may be taken by a different certified trainer, or delivered as a guided recorded session if a live session is impossible, without changing your plan.
- Dietary and nutrition guidance, where included, is general wellbeing information and not clinical dietetic or medical advice for a specific condition.
Attendance, missed sessions, pauses and transfers
- You may attend any batch available to your plan. Sessions you do not attend are not refunded and do not extend your plan period.
- Join a few minutes early. Trainers may admit late arrivals only where it is safe to do so.
- Pauses: a pause may be requested for genuine medical or personal reasons (for example surgery, illness or travel). Approved pauses extend the plan by the paused period. Pause requests should be sent to hello@chandrayog.com with the reason and dates.
- Transfers: a plan is personal and may not be transferred or resold. Requests to change batches, or to move from General to Therapeutic Yoga (subject to screening and any price difference), are considered case by case.
Class etiquette and a safe online space
Live batches are shared spaces. You agree to:
- Treat trainers and fellow participants with courtesy and respect, without harassment, discrimination or abusive language.
- Keep your display name recognisable and your camera behaviour as the batch expects; joining without video is at the trainer’s discretion.
- Keep the space around you clear and safe, and wear comfortable clothing that lets you move.
- Not record, screenshot, livestream or republish any part of a session without written permission.
- Not use a session to promote other products, services or channels.
- Tell the trainer immediately if you feel pain, dizziness, breathlessness or unwellness, and stop if asked to stop.
Trainers may remove a participant from a session where behaviour is unsafe or disruptive, and may report serious or repeated issues to us for action under clause 11.
Recordings, content and intellectual property
- All class sequences, cues, written guides, diet plans, recorded sessions, the ChandraYog name and logo, and all page content are owned by ChandraYog or its licensors and are protected by copyright and trademark law.
- Your plan grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to attend live sessions and to use materials we share with you for your own practice. It does not transfer any ownership.
- You may not copy, resell, teach from, republish, or feed our materials into commercial products or AI training datasets.
- Where a batch is recorded for quality or for participants who missed it, the recording is shared within that batch only and removed after a reasonable period.
- We occasionally record short excerpts or take screenshots for promotion. We will ask for your consent before your image is used in any promotional material.
Acceptable use of the website and services
When using chandrayog.com or any ChandraYog service, you must not:
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to accounts, systems, batch links or data.
- Introduce malware, scrape the site, or place unreasonable load on our infrastructure.
- Misrepresent your identity, health information, or your relationship with ChandraYog.
- Use the services for unlawful purposes or in breach of any applicable law.
Suspension and termination
- You may stop practising at any time. Cancellation and any resulting refund are governed by the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
- We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms, share batch access, behave unsafely or abusively, present a health risk that we cannot safely accommodate, or attempt to charge back a valid payment.
- Where we suspend or terminate for our own reasons and not for your breach, we will refund the unused portion of your plan on a pro-rata basis.
- On termination, clauses that by their nature should survive — including health and liability provisions, and intellectual property — continue to apply.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
Please read this with the health disclaimer
This clause works together with the Health Disclaimer & Liability Waiver, which describes the risks of yoga in detail. Accepting these Terms means you have read it.
- No medical advice. ChandraYog provides fitness and wellbeing instruction only. Nothing we say or share is medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or a substitute for care from a qualified medical practitioner.
- No guaranteed outcomes. Progress in flexibility, strength, pain, weight, sleep, or any condition varies from person to person and is not guaranteed.
- You practise at your own risk. Subject to the paragraph below, ChandraYog is not liable for injury, illness, aggravation of a pre-existing condition, or loss arising from your participation, including where you did not disclose relevant health information or did not follow instruction.
- Online-delivery limits. We cannot physically adjust your posture, and we cannot reach you in an emergency. Any interruption to your internet connection, device failure, or third-party platform outage is outside our control.
- Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded. To the fullest extent permitted by law, and without limiting your statutory rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or any other law, our total liability for any claim connected with your plan is limited to the fees you paid for the plan giving rise to the claim.
Consumer rights and grievance redressal
Your statutory consumer rights are not affected by anything in these Terms.
- Under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, you have the right to clear information, fair treatment, protection from unfair trade practices, and redressal of complaints.
- How to complain: write to hello@chandrayog.com with your name, enrolment details, what happened, and what resolution you are seeking. We will acknowledge your complaint within 48 hours and aim to resolve it within 7 working days.
- If we cannot resolve it, you may escalate to our Grievance Officer at hello@chandrayog.com marked “Grievance Officer”, and thereafter to the appropriate consumer forum or, for privacy matters, the Data Protection Board of India as described in the Privacy Policy.
- For privacy matters, the same contact also acts as our Data Protection contact under the DPDP Act, 2023.
Please tell us first. Almost every issue is resolved faster with the team than with a dispute.
Changes to these Terms
- We may update these Terms to reflect changes in law, our services, or our safety practice. The version that applies is the one in force when you enrol, identified by the effective date at the top of this page.
- If a change materially affects your rights, we will email enrolled students before it takes effect. Continuing to practise after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
- If you do not accept an updated version, you may stop practising and request a pro-rata refund for the unused period under the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to your right to approach a consumer forum or commission of competent jurisdiction, the courts at the place of ChandraYog’s registered office in India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms.
If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force, and the unenforceable provision is read down to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid.
A failure to enforce any provision on one occasion is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
Who to write to
For anything in these Terms — enrolment, batch changes, pauses, conduct concerns or a complaint — start with the ChandraYog team. Privacy requests under the DPDP Act are handled through the same route.
